Department of Forensic Medicine & Toxicology

Deals with the application of medical knowledge to aid in the Administration of Justice.

It is used by the legal authorities for the solution of legal problems.

Objectives:

A student shall able to:

Be acquainted with medico-legal procedures, medical ethics & various provisions of Consumer Protection Act.
Be competent to handle medico-legal cases apart from giving evidence in such cases whenever required.
Have the knowledge of toxicology to identify the poison & adopt necessary emergency measures.
Expand his knowledge of Materia-Medica by incorporating the knowledge gained through the study of Toxicology.
