HOD Profile
The department gives exposure to its students, to not only the regular curriculum but also to the aspirations of today’s corporate world, by inculcating a professional attitude in them. Our labs, with latest facilities and unlimited Internet facility, give our students a cutting edge in technical exploration and enhance their information search and analysis skills. Students are encouraged to join various technical and non-technical forums, which in turn gives them horizontal exposure to Engineering concepts and technology.

About Information Technology
Information Technology is the scientific and practical approach to computation and its applications. It is the systematic study of the feasibility, structure, expression, and mechanization of the methodical processes (or algorithms) that underlie the acquisition, representation, processing, storage, communication of, and access to information, whether such information is encoded as bits in a computer memory or transcribed in genes and protein structures in a human cell. A computer scientist specializes in the theory of computation and the design of computational systems. Computer science has many sub-fields; some, such as computer graphics, emphasize the computation of specific results, while others, such as computational theory, study the properties of computational problems. Still others focus on the challenges in implementing computations. For example, programming language theory studies approaches to describing computations, while computer programming applies specific programming languages to solve specific computational problems, and human-computer interaction focuses on the challenges in making computers and computations useful, usable, and universally accessible to people.
About Computer Science and Engineering (CS) Department:
The department of Computer Science & Engineering (CSE) has been established in the year 2007 with an intake of 60 students. The department of IT follows the curriculum of the Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya, Bhopal and also covers the portions that are beyond the syllabus which all are helpful to students in order to prepare their better career. Department of computer science & information technology have the faculties educated from NIT’s, IIT’s and well recognized institutions. The department offers guidance to the students in the latest software’s like J2EE, CCNA, MTS, .NET and LINUX Kernel programming. We are also having faculties from the industrial background. They provide students with the latest technical knowledge and practical exposure so that they can make their presence felt in the latest technical revolution.
About the Lab Facilities:
The department also has an Internet facility of 8MBPS for the faculty and student. Campus is Wi-Fi enabled, providing high speed 24 x 7 Internet access. The teaching-learning process comprises digital class-room teaching, along with tutorials, practical’s, seminars, viva-voce, projects and also series of audio visual CD are available for various subjects delivered by IIT professors. The main goal is to get direct help and support regarding the academics, projects and thesis work.
The department at present has 8 computer labs, with more than 300 computers with Window2007, UNIX, LINUX and Novell Netware based LAN equipped with High end Servers, Routers, Switches with Dual Core computers, multimedia projectors, and other accessories.
The laboratories are planned as per University curriculum. Six different labs are facilitated to accommodate two hundred and forty students can work in these labs simultaneously. Two lab sessions are planned per day. A need based additional lab sessions are also planned for specific students. Each PC is installed with Window XP and Fedora Operating Systems. Other software includes Turbo C, MS-Office 2007, Oracle XE, Java, .Net, Adobe Reader.
